Spatial Projects

Spatial information systems (also known as Geographic Informations Systems -GIS) capture, analyse, manage and present data which is linked to location.

Victorian Spatial Data Custodianship

Custodianship is a policy framework that enables private companies, agencies and government to unlock their data for the benefit of emergency services and each other, while managing risk and privacy.

We researched the needs and concerns of prospective Custodians, prepared presentations and attractive, easy to read Fact Sheets and Frequently Asked Questions and continue to assist with the development and implementation of the program.

Geoff Zeiss comments on our recent presentation in his Between the Poles blog

“It is now so much easier for us to approach organisations and for them to make the decision to become a Custodian.”

Elizabeth Thomas, Manager, Policy and Business, Department of Sustainability and Environment
